Because I’m selfish. Because I’m weird. And because today marks the one year anniversary of okie dokie artichokie, I made cheesecake.
But not just any cheesecake.
A Chai-flavored cheesecake laced with gorgeous, heady scents of cardamom, ginger, and allspice, with a deliciously nutty almond butter crust. This stuff will make you crawl into bed with nothing but your skivvies on and make you feel like the wanton goddess that you are. Need I say more?
Chai-Spiced Cheesecake with Almond Butter Crust
Cheesecake recipe from Bon Appetit, 2007 via Epicurious
Almond butter crust recipe from Gourmet, 2008
*Note: I prepared the crust exactly how Gourmet illustrated, except I placed it in a standard springform cheesecake pan. I would suggest wrapping the pan with aluminum foil in case the butter starts to drip out and burn in the bottom of your oven. This may or may not have happened to me…
On a more sentimental note, I just wanted to express my thanks and gratitude for those of you reading my blog. It means more to me than you can imagine. I love you and thank you.
XO,
Steph
